JAMMU (KIMS) — Police, in a joint operation with the district administration on Saturday demolished three properties worth ₹4 crore belonging to notorious drug dealer in Jammu.
According to a police statement, Navjot Singh alias Bablu, a resident of Indra Nagar area in Miran Sahib is a habitual offender with 15 FIRs registered against him under various sections, including the NDPS Act.
The properties, identified as proceeds of crime acquired through illegal drug trafficking, were razed to dismantle the economic backbone of drug syndicates in the region.
The operation was executed in the presence of SP Headquarters, SDPO RS Pura, SHO Miran Sahib, alongside SDM RS Pura and the local Tehsildar.
The entire exercise was completed peacefully without any untoward incidents, the statement said.
Local residents strongly supported the administrative action, openly praising the law enforcement agencies for taking decisive steps to eliminate the drug menace and protect the youth. — (KIMS)
