Police Head Constable shot dead in Baramulla

SRINAGAR (KIMS) — A Head Constable in Jammu and Kashmir Police was shot dead by suspected militants at Wailoo village in Tangmarg area of Baramulla district in North Kashmir.

Reports said, a Police Head Constable identified as Ghulam Mohammed Dar was fired upon and critically injured by suspected militants near his residence in Wailoo village of Baramulla district.

He was rushed to Sub-District Hospital (SDH) Tangmarg for treatment, however he succumbed to his injuries, they said.

Meanwhile, the entire area has been cordoned off to nab the attackers.

On Sunday, a policeman identified as Masroor Ahmad was fired upon and critically injured by suspected militants at Eidgah Srinagar. He is undergoing treatment at SKIMS Soura. — (KIMS)
