REASI — Police in Reasi have registered four FIRs at Police Station Katra in connection with alleged illegal possession of Pregabalin capsules and other offences, officials said on Saturday.
Police said 550 Pregabalin capsules, each containing 300 mg, were recovered in three of the cases.
In the first case, FIR No. 312/2026 under Section 223(a) of the BNS was registered against Jagdish Kumar of Bhagta, Katra. Police said 120 Pregabalin capsules were recovered from his possession.
In another case, FIR No. 313/2026 under Sections 115(2), 126(2) and 304 of the BNS was registered against Rajesh Dubey, Rohit Sharma, Ganesh, Anand Mohan, Mahipal, Uttam Singh and Cherry.
FIR No. 314/2026 under Section 223(a) of the BNS was registered against Nikhil Masih of Naley, Katra, following the recovery of 130 Pregabalin capsules, police said.
In the fourth case, FIR No. 315/2026 under Section 223(a) of the BNS was registered against Karan Kumar of Suketar, Domail, Jammu, after 300 Pregabalin capsules were recovered.
Police said further investigation in all four cases is underway and reiterated that strict legal action would be taken against the illegal possession, sale or misuse of prohibited substances and activities affecting public order and safety. — (KIMS)
