SRINAGAR — A policeman was killed while his daughter was injured in a militant attack in Soura area of Srinagar city on Tuesday.
Reports said, policeman identified as Saifullah Qadri, son of Mohd Syed Qadri of Malik Saab Soura was fired upon by suspected militants leaving him critically injured. His 8-year-old daughter Safa Qadri was also injured in the attack.
The duo were rushed to hospital for treatment where policeman succumbed to his injuries while as the condition of his daughter is said to be stable, they said.
Meanwhile, government forces have cordoned off the entire area to nab the attackers. — (KIMS)
