BARAMULLA (KIMS) — The “Save Youth Save Future” Foundation, in collaboration with the District Legal Services Authority Baramulla, hosted a significant seminar titled “Yakeen – Believe in Her” at Dak Banglow Baramulla today, on the 21st of March 2024.
The event was graced by the presence of the Hon’ble Chief Justice of the High Court of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh, Justice N. Kotiswar Singh, alongside other dignitaries including Chairman of District Legal Services Authority Baramulla, Mr. Mohammad Ashraf Malik, Deputy Commissioner Baramulla, Mr. Minga Sherpa, Principal Secretary to the Hon’ble Chief Justice of the High Court of Jammu and Kashmir, Mr. M.K Sharma, SP Baramulla Police, Mr. Feroz Yehya, and Mr. Wajahat Farooq Bhat, Chairman of “Save Youth Save Future” Foundation, among other notable figures.

Throughout the event, as Chairman of District Legal Services Authority Baramulla, Mr. Mohammad Ashraf Malik, Deputy Commissioner Baramulla, Mr. Minga Sherpa, President Bar Association Baramulla Advocate Neelofar Masood, Senior Journalist Mr. Karamat Qayoom, Advocate Sibtain Geelani, Ms. Bushra Bedaar, Advocate G.N. Ahsan, Advocate Insha Zargar, addressed various aspects of women’s empowerment, societal challenges, and the role of education and media in fostering gender parity.
Chief Justice of the High Court of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh, Justice N. Kotiswar Singh, in his profound address, highlighted the cultural significance of Nowroz in Kashmir, acknowledging the region’s rich history and diverse traditions amidst challenges like insurgency.
He emphasized the need for development across sectors, combating issues like domestic violence and drug abuse, and promoting awareness of legal rights and societal responsibilities.
The event concluded with a felicitation ceremony honoring female achievers from Baramulla for their remarkable contributions across various spheres. Mr. Wajahat Farooq Bhat, Chairman of “Save Youth Save Future” Foundation, expressed gratitude to all attendees and collaborators, reaffirming the Foundation’s commitment to its noble cause.
