SRINAGAR (KIMS) — Security forces on Thursday busted a militant hideout in the Brijthor Forest area of Kupwara district and recovered a huge cache of ammunition and other war-like stores.
“Based on specific intelligence input, the Indian Army, along with Jammu and Kashmir Police, launched a joint operation on October 8, 2025, in the general area of Brijthor Forest, Warsun, Kupwara,” Indian Army’s Srinagar-based Chinar Corps said in a post on X.
“During the operation, security forces busted a hideout and recovered two AK series rifles, four rocket launchers, a huge cache of ammunition, and other war-like stores,” they said. — (KIMS)
