SRINAGAR (KIMS) — Security forces conducted a mock drill at Railway Station Amargarh in Sopore town of Baramulla district in North Kashmir on Thursday.
“Police in collaboration with Indian Army, CAPF, RPF and the Fire & Emergency Service conducted a mock drill at Railway Station Amargarh, Sopore to evaluate emergency response procedures and readiness for handling critical situations,” police said in a statement.
“The drill was specifically designed to train personnel to respond swiftly to potential emergencies, particularly those of a terrorist nature, ensuring a quick and coordinated response,” the statement said.
“The exercise also focused on assessing the effectiveness of security measures, response times, and identifying areas for improvement,” the statement added.
Superintendent of Police Sopore Divya D oversaw the drill and commended the efforts of the security forces in enhancing their emergency response capabilities.
“This mock drill is part of ongoing efforts by J&K Police to strengthen public safety and security, ensuring that forces are well-prepared to handle any situation effectively,” she said. — (KIMS)
