SHOPIAN — Militants have managed to escape from the spot taking advantage of the darkness while as joint team of government forces have busted a hideout inside a residential house at Kutpora village in Shopian district of South Kashmir on Wednesday.
Reports said a joint team of government forces including Indian Army, CRPF and J&K Police had launched Cordon-and-Search-Operation (CASO) at Kutpora village in the district on the specific inputs about presence of militants in the area.
They said that during search militants lobbed grenades on search party which was also retaliated. However militants escaped due to darkness.
Meanwhile government forces have busted a hideout inside a residential house in the village and recovered arms and ammunition. — (KIMS)
