Shopian resident involved in killing of Puran Krishan Bhat missing since Nov 12: ADGP Kashmir

SRINAGAR — Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) Kashmir, Vijay Kumar on Thursday said that a local resident was involved in killing of Kashmiri Pandit Puran Krishan Bhat at Chowdharygund village in Shopian district.

Kumar said that the accused namely Mohd Latief Lone S/O Nisar Ah of Check Kachidoora Shopian is missing from his home since 12th November, 2022.

“During investigation of case FIR No 211/2022 of PS Shopian pertaining to killing of Kashmiri Pandit Shri Puran Krishan Bhat of Chowdharygund by militants on 15th October, one Mohd Latief Lone S/O Nisar Ah of Check Kachidoora was found to be involved in this heinous militant crime. The said killer is missing from his home since 12/11/2022, Kashmir Zone Police quoted ADGP said in a tweet.

He said that any person giving any information about accused will be suitably rewarded by the police.

“Any person giving any information about accused Mohd Latief Lone will be suitably rewarded by Police,” the tweet said.

Puran Krishan Bhat was fired upon and killed by militants at his residence in Chowdharygund village of Shopian district last month. — (KIMS)
