SRINAGAR (KIMS) — The Jammu and Kashmir Administration led by Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Wednesday announced the ex-gratia of Rs. 5 Lakh to the kin of deceased persons in Doda road accident.
“An ex-gratia of Rs. 5 Lakh each would be given to the next of kin of those who have lost their lives due to the unfortunate bus accident in Assar, Doda,” the Office of LG J&K said in a post on X (formerly Twitter).
He said that the Administration will give Rs. 1 Lakh to those who were injured in the accident. “Rs. 1 Lakh would be given to those injured,” the post said.
He further said that the Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory Administration will provide every possible assistance to affected families.
On Wednesday, a passenger bus on way from Kishtwar to Jammu skidded off the road and fell into 300-feet gorge near Trungal-Assar area of Doda district, resulting in death to 36 persons and injuries to 19. — (KIMS)
