Social activist Sabiya Bano calls for urgent relief and rehabilitation for Khanayar fire victims

SRINAGAR [Farhan Kitab] (KIMS) — In the wake of a devastating fire that swept through the Khanayar area of Srinagar, social political activist Sabiya Bano has stepped forward to demand immediate relief and rehabilitation for the affected families.

The fire, which occurred on yesterday, has left numerous households in despair, and Bano is urging local authorities and humanitarian organizations to take swift action.

“This tragic incident has not only destroyed homes but also the dreams and hopes of many families,” said Bano.

“It is our collective responsibility to ensure that these victims receive the support they need to rebuild their lives. We cannot afford to delay assistance any longer.”

Bano emphasized the urgency of the situation, stating, “Immediate relief is crucial. The victims are in dire need of food, shelter, and medical assistance. We must come together as a community to provide them with the resources necessary for recovery.”

The activist has called upon both governmental and non-governmental organizations to mobilize resources and aid for the victims.

“Rehabilitation is not just about rebuilding houses; it’s about restoring dignity and hope to those who have lost everything,” she added.

“We must prioritize their needs and work towards a comprehensive plan that addresses both immediate and long-term recovery.”

As the situation unfolds, Bano continues to advocate for those impacted by this disaster, encouraging citizens to contribute in whatever ways they can.

“Every little effort counts. I urge everyone to extend their support to the fire victims of Khanayar. Together, we can help them rise from the ashes.” — (KIMS)
