Speedy ambulance kills two in Srinagar

SRINAGAR — Two persons were killed after being hit by a speedy ambulance near Children Hospital in Bemina area of Srinagar, news agency KDC reported on Wednesday.

According to the report, two persons identified as Ali Mohammad Dar, a resident of Nowpora, Baramulla, and Fayaz Ahmad Chopan, a resident of Hadipora, Rafiabad were critically injured after they were hit by a speedy ambulance near Children Hospital in Bemina Srinagar in wee hours on Wednesday.

The report said that the duo were shifted to JVC Hospital Bemina in a critical condition for treatment, where doctors declared them dead on arrival.

It said that the driver of the ambulance has been arrested and the vehicle was seized under relevant sections of law and further investigation of the incident is going on.
