Students demand College, better transport facilities in Baramulla

BARAMULLA — The students have demanded a Degree College and better transport facilities for them in Kandi area in Baramulla district in North Kashmir.

The students from this hamlet of Baramulla while talking to Kashmir Independent Media Service (KIMS Kashmir) said that their education is getting affected badly as they are not able to attend their classes on daily basis due to lack of transport facility in the area.

They said that they are suffering as they have to pay hefty amount as fare to Sumo drivers to reach to their Colleges in Baramulla town.

The students have also demanded a Degree College in Kandi area so that they can have easy access to the College and don’t have to travel long for studies.

The residents of Chandoosa, Rajpora, Shumlaran, Nowgam, Shirpora, Sultanpora, Doodbugh etc. villages particularly student community have demanded bus service from Baramulla to Doodbug via Chandoosa which can ease the suffering of students.

The local population have also requested Deputy Commissioner Baramulla Sehrish Asgar to redress their grievance on priority basis. — (KIMS)
