SRINAGAR (KIMS) — A suspected individual has been arrested along with weapon and ammunition at Naupur area of Baramulla district, the Indian Army said on Thursday.
The suspected individual was arrested by a joint team of forces including Indian Army and Jammu and Kashmir Police during a Naka at Naupur area of the district.
The Indian Army’s Chinar Corps in a post on X said, “Based on specific intelligence inputs, a Joint Mobile Vehicle Check Post (MVCP) was established on 27 December 2023 by Indian Army and Jammu and Kashmir Police at Naupur, Baramulla. One suspected individual has been apprehended along with recovery of weapon and ammunition.”
The recoveries include a Pistol, Pistol Magazine and 9 Pistol Rounds.
“The investigation is being done jointly by the Indian Army and Jammu and Kashmir Police,” the post said. — (KIMS)
