Tanushree assumes charge as SSP Pulwama

PULWAMA (KIMS) — Ms. Tanushree, IPS, on Saturday assumed charge as Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Pulwama, succeeding Ms. P.D. Nitya, IPS, who was recently transferred to Rajasthan.

On her arrival at the District Police Headquarters Pulwama, Ms. Tanushree was accorded a warm welcome by senior police officers of the district, and a ceremonial Guard of Honour was presented on the occasion.

The outgoing SSP, Ms. P.D. Nitya, formally handed over the charge to her successor in a brief and graceful ceremony.

After assuming charge, SSP Tanushree interacted with senior officers and emphasized maintaining a people-friendly approach in policing. She highlighted the importance of teamwork, discipline, and proactive measures to address public concerns and strengthen police-community relations.

Ms. P.D. Nitya was relieved from Jammu and Kashmir to join the Rajasthan cadre following her inter-cadre transfer approved by the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) on October 9. — (KIMS)
