Teacher suspended in Kulgam for forcing students to clean school washroom

ANANTNAG — A teacher in Government Middle School at Tengan village in Kulgam district was suspended by authorities on Friday for forcing students to clean washrooms of the school.

Sources told Kashmir Independent Media Service – KIMS that when the issue came in notice of the principal of the school, he tried to talk with Gowhar Farooq a teacher after which they had a quarrel.

Soon after quarrel started between principal and teacher, locals gathered at school premises.

As the reason of quarrel was known, students along with locals started protest against the said teacher after which issue was brought under notice of Zonal Education Officer (ZEO) Yaripora, who assured the strict action against the accused teacher.

Later Cheif Education Officer (CEO) Kulgam M A Rather suspended the accused teacher from duties with immediate effect and attached with said office during suspension period. — (KIMS)
