Transformer alloted to Tahab residents in 2020 still non functional

Pulwama: The residents of Takya Tahab village in Pulwama district in South Kashmir are facing immense hardships due non-availability of electricity in the area.

The residents while talking to Kashmir Independent Media Service (KIMS) said that their is no electric facility in their area even after installation of transformer and transmission lines.

According to locals, the transmission lines were installed three months ago but the transformer has not been opertionalized yet.

“We face immense hardships due to non availability of electricity as our children are not able to study well and prepare for exams. Their education is getting affected badly”, locals told KIMS.

Locals while talking to KIMS said, “In winter when electricity is need of hour we don’t have electricity in our area even after installing of transmission lines for transformers.” adding, “The transmission lines were installed in October last year but Still the transformer is not functional even after three months. Why was the work delayed.”

When contacted PDD Offical told KIMS, “The transformer will be operational within two weeks as work on the project is under process.” (KIMS)
