PULWAMA (KIMS) — Two men have been arrested following a complaint of eve teasing and molestation in Pulwama district of South Kashmir on Saturday.
“A written complaint was filed by a female (name withheld) regarding an incident of eve teasing and molestation. This led to the registration of a case under FIR No. 132/24 U/S 75(1) BNS at Police Station Pulwama,” Jammu and Kashmir Police said in a statement.
“The accused, Shahid Bilal Bhat, son of Bilal Ahmad Bhat from Pinglena, and Shayan Rasool, son of Gh Rasool Reshi from Dugam Kakapora, were swiftly arrested. The investigation into the case is ongoing to gather all necessary evidence and ensure justice for the victim,” the statement added.
Pulwama Police reaffirmed their commitment to maintaining public safety and taking decisive action against eve teasers and other anti-social elements.
The police also urged the public to report any such incidents immediately to the nearest police station or call the police helpline number 112. — (KIMS)
