Two drug peddlers arrested in Srinagar; charas, ganja seized

SRINAGAR (KIMS) — Jammu and Kashmir Police have arrested two drug peddlers in Srinagar district of Kashmir valley on Sunday and recovered charas and ganja like substance from their possession.

“During Naka Checking at Budgeer Kawdara crossing, a party of Police Post Urdu Bazar arrested two drug peddlers namely Milad Bashir Bhat, son of Bashir Ahmad Bhat of Dolipora Kawdara, and Toyab Ahmad Shekh, son of Mohammad Shafi Sheikh of Surnai Mohalla Kawdara. During search, about 16 gms of Charas-like substance and 210 gms of ganja-like substance was recovered from their possession,” police said in a statement.

In this connection, a case FIR No. 53/2024 under relevant sections of NDPS Act stands registered in Police Station M R Gunj and investigation into the matter has been initiated. — (KIMS)
