BARAMULLA — Two militants affiliated with Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) militant outfit have fled from police custody in North Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Wednesday.
Quoting an official, news agency KNO reported that two Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) militants identified as Maroof Nazir of Kanlibagh and Shahid Showkat of Banglowbagh, who were arrested in May last year in a grenade throwing incident on a wine shop in Baramulla district have fled from police custody in Baramulla this morning.
The official as per the report said, they were lodged in Police Station Baramulla and escaped during Sehri time adding, soon after the incident, a massive search operation was launched by security forces to nab them.
A case has been registered in this regard, he said.
