TRAL — Scores of devotees thronged the shrine at Sofigund area of Tral to observe the Urs of Hazrat Sheikh Mohammad Bakir Sahib (RA) on Friday.
The devotees in large numbers including men, women, children and old aged people in spring tehsil of Tral, Aripal participated in the special prayers at the shrine.
The devotees were seen paying obeisance and offering special prayers at the shrine.
The Urs is observed every year on this day.
A large number of devotees from different parts of valley also thronged the shrine where they recited Quran and later joined Khatam-e-Sharif, Naatia Majlis and supplications.
Special prayers were held nightlong and people remained awake.
A joint prayer was held and devotees prayed for peace, prosperity, unity, brotherhood and communal harmony in the Union Territory.
