Video news suggesting DSP Adil Mushtaq’s involvement in Kokernag terror incident not true: ADGP Kumar

SRINAGAR (KIMS) — The video news item suggesting the involvement of DSP Adil Mushtaq in Kokernag terror incident is not true, Additional Director General of Police (ADGP), Kashmir, Vijay Kumar said on Tuesday.

He said, there is no truth to this video news item by a news agency Bharat TAK.

He said, this type of irresponsible journalism is also an act of criminal misconduct and is liable for legal action.

DSP Adil Mushtaq is being investigated for an entirely different case in Srinagar district and not in Anantnag, he said.

DSP Adil Mushtaq was recently suspended by the Home Department on multiple charges.

Kashmir Zone Police while quoting Additional Director General of Police (ADGP), Kashmir, Vijay Kumar in a post on X (formerly Twitter) said, It has come to notice that a video news item has been uploaded purportedly issued by a news agency by the name of Bharat TAK suggesting that DSP Adil Mushtaq is involved in the Kokernag terror incident as an insider betrayal. There is no truth to this video news.
