We The Kashmir Foundation and Smile Foundation organized Free Medical Camp at GEMS School

ANANTNAG [Sheikh Nadeem] (KIMS) — We The Kashmir Foundation NGO, in collaboration with Smile Foundation NGO, organized a free AYUSH medical camp at GEMS School in Kreeri Shangus On August 17, 2024.

This initiative aimed to address the healthcare needs of the rural population, particularly targeting socially neglected communities and school children residing in remote and underserved areas.

The medical camp featured a range of healthcare services, offering free consultations from specialists in anxiety, hypertension, cold and cough, cardiology, orthopedics, and dermatology.

In addition to general healthcare, the camp also focused on pediatric care, with Dr. Muzamil Abdullah providing thorough check-ups and distributing free medicines to the children.

The event was well-received, with an estimated 100 patients benefiting from the services provided.

The camp also included educational sessions on maintaining good health, the importance of regular check-ups, and preventive measures to combat common ailments, which were especially appreciated by the attendees.

The beneficiaries expressed their heartfelt gratitude to We The Kashmir Foundation and Smile Foundation for bringing such essential healthcare services to their doorstep.

The successful turnout and positive feedback highlight the pressing need for continued efforts in making healthcare accessible to the most vulnerable populations in these rural areas.

The organizers emphasized that this camp is part of a broader initiative to reach out to marginalized communities and ensure that everyone, regardless of their location or economic status, has access to basic healthcare.

Plans are already underway for future camps in other remote areas to continue this mission of service. — (KIMS)
