JAMMU — A woman died after being hit by an oil tanker in Pacca Danga area of Jammu district on Tuesday.
A woman namely Nusrat Fatima was travelling with along with her husband Hanief on a motorcycle when the oil tanker hit them in Pacca Danga area of Jammu, resulting in injuries to the couple. The couple was immediately rushed to hospital for treatment where Nusrat Fatima succumbed to her injuries, news agency PTI quoted police official as having said.
Police had registered a case in this regard and during the investigation the accused oil tanker driver namely Mohammad Amin was caught within three hours of the accident with the help of CCTV footage, he said.
The driver has been arrested and the vehicle has been seized, he said.
