SHOPIAN — A 30-year-old man died after drowning in Gandawali area of South Kashmir’s Shopian district on Saturday afternoon, officials said.
An official told news agency Kashmir Dot Com that after receiving information a rescue operation was launched and the body was fished out from the nallah in Sangarvani area of Pulwama and was rushed to a nearby hospital, where he was declared dead on arrival.
He identified him as Showket Ahmad Deedad (30) son of Mohammad Hussain Deedad, a resident of Zampathri Keller area of Shopian.
Meanwhile, a police team has reached the spot and have taken over the investigation in this regard. – (KDC)
