55 Rashtriya Rifles conducted Medical Camp at Panzgam Pulwama

SRINAGAR (KIMS) — On the occasion of International Universal Health Coverage Day on 12th December, 2023, the Indian Army’s 55 Rashtriya Rifles (RR) conducted a Medical Camp at Panzgam village in Pulwama district.

“With an aim to provide basic Medical Care, aid and awareness to the locals to stay ailment free during the severe winters during Chillai Kalan, 55 Rashtriya Rifles (GRENADIERS), conducted a Medical Camp, keping in mind welfare of the marginalised and remotely located locals with limited health facilities in the region,” Army said in a statement.

The activities in Medical Camp involved basic health checkup, distribution of necessary medication, treating needy patients, and spreading awareness on waterborne diseases like dengue, malaria, and other respiratory diseases that may occur during the ongoing winter season, the statement said.

Through this medical camp, Panzgom COB not only provided essential healthcare services but also instilled hope, trust and belongingness among the people. 55 RASHTRIYA RIFLES as always, stands committed to the welfare of locals and continues to uphold their trust, the statement said. — (KIMS)
