PULWAMA [Mudasir Maqbool] (KIMS) — Ram Madhav, the BJP’s J&K election in-charge, visited South Kashmir’s Pulwama district to campaign for the party’s candidates as the first phase of the J&K Assembly elections approached its final day of campaigning.
With star campaigners rallying support across the valley, Ram Madhav’s focus was on two key constituencies in Pulwama where the BJP is contesting: Rajpora and Pampore.
In Rajpora, Arshid Ahmad Bhat is contesting on a BJP ticket, while in Pampore, Showkat Ahmad Gayoor is the BJP candidate. Ram Madhav, along with Dr. Darakshan Andrabi, Chairperson of the J&K Waqf Board, extended their campaign to the Shopian district as well.
During his visit to the Nikas area of Hawal Pulwama, Madhav listened to the people and assured them that their concerns would be addressed.
Speaking to the media, he reiterated that the BJP’s primary objective is to create a terrorism-free and family-politics-free J&K.
He emphasized that if the BJP falls short of seats in government formation, only like-minded individuals contesting the elections would be part of the government.
Ram Madhav also criticized Congress, accusing the party of following the National Conference’s manifesto, which includes the restoration of Articles 370 and 35A and the release of prisoners—measures that the BJP strongly opposes. — (KIMS)
