Pulwama Administration bids farewell to DC Basharat Qayoom

Officers praise his people-centric approach and leadership

PULWAMA — The District Administration Pulwama on Saturday accorded a warm farewell to outgoing Deputy Commissioner Dr. Basharat Qayoom, who has been transferred as Commissioner, Srinagar Municipal Corporation.

The farewell function was attended by the Additional District Development Commissioner, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Chief Planning Officer, Sub-Divisional Magistrates, Tehsildars, representatives of the Trade Federation, social activists and officers and officials from various departments.

During the function, senior officers recalled their experience of working with Dr. Qayoom and appreciated his commitment, efficiency and people-centric approach. They said his tenure was marked by transparency, responsiveness and effective coordination among different departments.

The officers also praised his ability to ensure that administrative matters were handled efficiently and within stipulated timelines.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Qayoom thanked the district administration team for its support and cooperation throughout his tenure. He acknowledged the contribution of officers and officials at all levels, saying that the achievements during his tenure were the result of collective efforts.

He also expressed gratitude to the people of Pulwama for their warmth, trust and cooperation.
