SRINAGAR — Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Monday arrested an AEE of Rural Development Department (RDD) in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district for taking a bribe of ₹4000.
Sources told news agency Kashmir Dot Com that ACB received a complaint against one AEE of Rural Development Department Baramulla identified as Ravinder Singh for demanding a bribe and during the course of investigation, a trap team was constituted. The team caught red handed the officer for demanding and accepting ₹4000, they said.
The officer was arrested on the spot by the ACB team, the bribe money was also recovered from his possession in presence of independent witnesses, an official confirmed to KDC and said that further investigations into the matter are going on. — (KDC)
