ANANTNAG — In compliance to directions of JK Legal Services Authority today on 22th October 2022, District Legal Service Authority Anantnag in collaboration with District Social Welfare Officer Anantnag organized two awareness programmes, one regarding Back to Village “Beti Bachao Beti Padhao” and 2nd on “Legal Rights of Women” towards empowering women at Government Degree College for Women auditorium.
On both the programmes Mr. Mir Wajahat Secretary DLSA Anantnag was present and delivered speech on rights of women and expressed the efficacy of the event and also highlighted programme of Beti Bachao Beti Padhao i.e save the daughter, educate the daughter discrimination against girl infants.
The main purpose of the programme was to uphold women’s achievement recognized challenges and focus greater attention on women.
Further, the principal Government Degree College Women’s Anantnag and District Social Welfare Officer Anantnag also spoke on the occasion said constitutional ideals of Women’s rights in Part 3rd of Indian Constitution, chapter of fundamental rights and Directive Principles of state Policy and legislations made thereunder.
Among others the programmes were attended by Executive Director JK Rehabilitation council Department of Social Welfare as chief guest, Tehsil Social Welfare Officer, faculty members of college, staff members of One Stop Saki Centre, District Hub for empowerment of women Anantnag, Child Protection Unit Anantnag, Information Department Media and students of the college. — (KIMS)
