QAZIGUND — The security forces on Friday claimed to have recovered a bag with arms and ammunition in an open field of popular trees at Akhran area of Qazigund in South Kashmir’s Kulgam district.
An official told that based on a specific input a joint team 9 RR and Police recovered a bag with arms and ammunition at Hanjipora Akhran late last night in an open field of popular trees.
The officer while sharing details of recoveries said 01 AK-47 magazine, 48 AK-47 rounds, 01 pistol, 02 pistol magazines, 04 hand grenades, 01 Chinese grenade and battery with wire were recovered.
Meanwhile, officials said that police have registered a case under relevant sections of law in this regard. — (KNO)
