KULGAM (KIMS) — A book titled Foundations of Social Sciences, authored by Javid Ahmad Rather, was formally released on Thursday at Government Girls Higher Secondary School Kulgam during a dignified function attended by senior education officials, academicians, teachers, students and other distinguished guests.
The book was unveiled by Abdul Ghani Bhat, chief education officer kulgam in the presence of Sayar Ahmad Mir, DTO kulgam, principals of various Higher Secondary Schools, officers from the education department and members of civil society.
Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Education Officer Kulgam appreciated the author’s scholarly contribution and highlighted the importance of such academic works in strengthening the educational environment. He stated that books focusing on social sciences play a vital role in promoting critical thinking, intellectual growth and a deeper understanding of society among students.
Other speakers also lauded the efforts of the author and described the publication as a valuable addition to the field of social sciences.
They expressed hope that the book would prove beneficial for students, teachers, researchers and aspirants pursuing higher studies.
