KOKERNAG (KIMS) — The Breng Journalists Association has officially come into existence following its first-ever election held under the presence of Tehsildar Kokernag Mr Sheikh Ansar and under the supervision of SDM Kokernag.
The election was meticulously conducted by a committee comprising Shaan Shahid, Mushtaq Ahmad Ganie, and Khursheed Ahmad, ensuring transparency.
The newly elected members include Rather Hilal as the first President, Majid Salam as the Vice President, and Tantary Sheefaq as the General Secretary. After taking charge, the winners expressed their gratitude to the members and pledged to uphold the association’s objectives.
In his inaugural address, President Rather Hilal highlighted his vision to strengthen the association’s role in addressing the needs of the underprivileged.
He promised to actively engage with local communities and explore government welfare schemes to bring tangible benefits to the region.
“The association will prioritize its members’ welfare while contributing to societal development,” Rather Hilal asserted.
The Vice President, Majid Salam, and General Secretary, Tantary Sheefaq, also vowed to fulfill their responsibilities with dedication and ensure the association remains a platform for advocacy and meaningful change.
