Cold wave grips Kashmir valley; Pahalgam, Gulmarg record season’s another cold night

SRINAGAR — As famous tourist destinations Pahalgam and Gulmarg record another coldest night of the season. The Meteorological Department office on Tuesday forecast partly cloudy in the Kashmir valley during the next 24 hours.

The weather was dry and cold during the last 24 hours in the Union Territory.

Srinagar recorded minus 2.7 degrees Celsius as the minimum temperature while famous tourist destinations Pahalgam and Gulmarg recorded another coldest night of the season at minus 11.8 degrees Celsius and minus 11.5 degrees Celsius.

Jammu recorded 3.1 degrees Celsius and Katra 3.6 degrees Celsius as the minimum temperature while Batote, Banihal and Bhaderwah recorded minus 2.0 degrees Celsius, minus 1.5 degrees Celsius and minus 2.6 degrees Celsius as the minimum temperature.

Drass town in Ladakh region recorded minus 29.0 degrees Celsius, Kargil and Leh recorded minus 20.9 degrees Celsius and minus 15.6 degrees Celsius as the minimum temperature.
