Srinagar: Director General of Police (DGP) J&K Shri Nalin Prabhat, accompanied by IGP Kashmir Shri V.K. Birdi, SSP Srinagar Dr G.V. Sundeep Chakravarthy and other jurisdictional officers, conducted a late-night ground review of security arrangements across Srinagar ahead of Independence Day.
The DGP personally inspected naka points, security deployments and arrangements at Bakshi Stadium. He also interacted with personnel deployed on the ground and assessed the overall preparedness for the Independence Day celebrations.
During the review, the DGP briefed the deployed personnel and issued necessary directions to maintain heightened alertness, ensure effective coordination among security agencies and strengthen security measures across vulnerable and key locations.
The security review comes as authorities have intensified security arrangements across Srinagar and other parts of Jammu and Kashmir ahead of August 15.
