DGP Prisons Deepak Kumar to hold additional charge of DG Crime Branch, J&K

SRINAGAR (KIMS) — The Home Department of Jammu and Kashmir Government on Saturday assigned the additional charge of Director General, Crime Branch, J&K to an Indian Police Service (IPS) Officer, Deepak Kumar.

Deepak is also holding the charge of Director General of Police (DGP), Prisons, J&K.

Deepak has been assigned the charge of Director General, Crime Branch, J&K following the appointment of an Indian Police Service (IPS) Officer, Arun Kumar Choudhary as the Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission (JKPSC).

“Consequent upon appointment of Arun Kumar Choudhary, Special Director General, Crime, J&K as Chairman Public Service Commission for Jammu and Kashmir, it is hereby ordered that Deepak Kumar, Director General of Police, Prisons shall hold the charge of Crime Branch in addition to his own duties, till further orders,” reads the order. — (KIMS)
