RAMBAN — A truck driver died while another was injured after their vehicles fell into a deep gorge near Panthyal and Chamalwas areas in Ramban district on late Wednesday night.
Quoting an official, news agency KNO reported that a driver identified as Shamsher Singh, son of Gurdev Singh of Punjab died on the spot after his truck loaded with fresh vegetables rolled down into a deep gorge last night near Panthyal area of Ramban.
The official as per the report said, in a similar incident a driver identified as Saqib Rashid, son of Abdul Rashid Itoo of Banihal was critically injured after his vehicle rolled down into a gorge near Chamalwas area of Ramban.
He was shifted to SDH Banihal for treatment, he said.
