SRINAGAR — The Meteorological Department on Thursday forecast dry weather in Jammu and Kashmir for next 24 hours.
The weather remained dry in the Union Territory yesterday.
An official of the Meteorological Department said, dry, partly cloudy weather is likely in J&K during the next 24 hours.
He said, Srinagar recorded 1.3 degrees Celsius while Pahalgam and Gulmarg recorded minus 1.9 degrees Celsius and minus 2.0 degrees Celsius as the minimum temperature.
In Jammu region, he said, Jammu recorded 11.2 degrees Celsius, Katra 12.0 degrees Celsius, Batote 8.2 degrees Celsius, Banihal 4.0 degrees Celsius and Bhaderwah 4.6 degrees Celsius as the minimum temperature.
In Ladakh region, he said, Drass recorded minus 10.9 degrees Celsius, Kargil minus 10.8 degrees Celsius and Leh minus 7.0 degrees Celsius as the minimum temperature.
Kashmir is currently under 20-day-long period of ‘Chilai Khurd’. It will be followed by 10-day-long ‘Chillai Bache’. — (KIMS)
