SRINAGAR (KIMS) — In absence of any major wet spell, the weather is expected to remain dry with moderate to dense fog in Jammu and Kashmir till January 4, 2024, the Meteorological Department (MeT) said on Friday.
“The weather is expected to remain partly to generally cloudy with dry weather with moderate to dense fog over plains of Jammu and Kashmir till December 31,” an official of the Meteorological Department (MeT) said.
“Due to approaching feeble Western Disturbance, there will be slight improvement in visibility during December 30 and 31,” he said.
“The weather is expected to remain generally dry in Jammu and Kashmir from January 1 to 3,” he said.
“The weather is expected to remain generally cloudy with light snowfall at isolated higher reaches of Jammu and Kashmir on January 4,” he said.
Meanwhile, the Summer capital of Jammu and Kashmir, Srinagar recorded minus 3.3°, Qazigund minus 4.2°C, Kupwara minus 4.0°C, Pahalgam minus 5.4°C, Gulmarg minus 2.5°C and Kokernag minus 2.6°C as the Minimum temperature in Kashmir region on Friday.
The Winter capital, Jammu recorded 8.6°C, Katra 7.8°C, Batote 4.4°C, Bhaderwah 1.0°C and Banihal minus 0.8°C as the Minimum temperature in Jammu region.
In Ladakh region, Leh recorded minus 14.7°C and Kargil minus 11.6°C as the Minimum temperature. — (KIMS)
