Earthquake of magnitude 5.2 strikes Jammu and Kashmir

SRINAGAR — An earthquake of magnitude 5.2 on Richter scale strikes Jammu and Kashmir on Sunday.

The earthquake striked Union Territory at around 11:19 am.

Reports said, The epicentre of the earthquake was Fayzabad in the Afghanistan-Tajikistan border region and its depth was 220 kms inside the earth.

As the tremors were felt, the residents ran out of their homes in the valley. However, no loss of life or damage to property was reported from anywhere, they said.
