BARAMULLA — A residential house was damaged in a fire incident at KP Payeen area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Sunday, officials said.
Police personnel promptly reached the spot after receiving information and joined Fire and Emergency Services personnel and local residents in firefighting efforts, helping bring the blaze under control and prevent it from spreading to nearby properties, according to a police statement.
The fire broke out in a single-storey house belonging to Ghulam Mohammad Dar, a resident of KP Payeen.
Household articles and the rooftop of the house suffered damage in the incident. However, no loss of life or injury was reported.
The cause of the fire is being ascertained, the statement said. — (KIMS)
