Five persons involved in disturbance of Law & Order booked under PSA in Baramulla

SRINAGAR (KIMS) — At least five persons have been booked under Public Safety Act (PSA) in Baramulla district of North Kashmir for their involvement in disturbance of law and order, Jammu and Kashmir Police said on Monday.

The Jammu and Kashmir Police in Baramulla district in a press release said, “While acting tough against anti-national elements, five persons namely Asif Ali Bhat, son of Ali Mohammad, resident of Badipora Tangmarg, Mohammad Yaqoob Bhat, son of Gh Mohd, resident of Tantraypora Palhallan, Waseem Mehraj Farash @ Waseem Farash, son of Mehraj ud Din, resident of Khanpora, Bashir Ahmad Sualiah, son of Late Ghulam Mohammad, resident of Mohalla Jadeed Baramulla, and Bilal Ahmad Dar @ Shakir, son of Gh Nabi resident of Wussan Khoie Pattan have been booked under Public Safety Act (PSA) after obtaining formal detention orders from the competent Authority.”

“They have been detained and subsequently lodged in District Jail Udhampur and Central Jail Kot-Balwal Jammu,” the press release said.

“Many cases are registered against these persons and were involved in disturbance of Law & Order and subversion. Despite their involvement in many FIRs, they did not mend their anti-national & social activities,” the press release said. — (KIMS)
