Five suspended for releasing ‘excess’ payment under MGNREGA

SRINAGAR — Five employees have been suspended and an enquiry has been initiated for releasing excess payment under MGNREGA in Block SK Pora in Central Kashmir’s Budgam district, news agency KDC reported on Tuesday.

According to the report, five employees who have been suspended by Project Officer Wages Employment (ACD) Budgam have been identified as Musadiq Nazir (VLW), Ilyas Ahmad Wani (In-charge Junior Assistant), Owais Mohammad Dar (Technical Assistant), Afarmeen Ali (Technical Assistant) and Sareer Ahmad Ganie (GRS) of block Snoor Kali-Pora.

The report said that an enquiry has been initiated if the excess payment has been released under ‘’MGNREGA’’ (Labour and material component) in Block SK Pora in Budgam.

It said, all the five officials have been placed under suspension and attached to ACD Office Budgam.

As per the reported, the enquiry committee comprising AD Planning Budgam Mohammad Abrahim, BDO SK-Pora Shahbaz Chowdhary, SO Planning of Block Narbal Irshad Ahmad and JSA Planning of ACD Office Budgam Tanveer Ahmad Lone have been asked to submit the detailed report within weeks’ time positively.
