BUDGAM — A vehicle laden with illicit timber was seized by forest department in an overnight raid at Omchipora Khag area in Budgam district of Central Kashmir.
Quoting an official news agency KDC reported that one vehicle (automobile) without registration plate was seized in an overnight raid around 2:00 am by a team of forest department headed by Ranger Beerwah range Iftikar Ahmad.
He said that the driver of the vehicle fled from the spot taking advantage of the darkness. The searches to nab the accused involved in this crime has been launched.
A case under relevant sections of forest act is being registered in this regard and further investigation has been set into motion, he said.
