KUPWARA — A Government employee was killed in a hit and run case in Udipora village in Handwara area of Kupwara district in North Kashmir on Wednesday evening.
Quoting sources, news agency GNS reported that a 42-year-old employee of Jal Shakti Department was fatally hit by a vehicle at Udipora village in Langate area of the district.
They said that the injured person was shifted to nearby hospital for treatment, where doctors declared him brought dead.
The deceased person has been identified as Ghulam Hassan Sheikh, son of Abdul Gaffar Shiekh, a resident of Bacherwara Handwara.
Meanwhile SHO Kralgund confirmed the death of a person and said a case has been registered in this regard. He according to GNS said, we have constituted a team to nab the culprit as soon as possible.
