J&K reports 15 new Covid-19 cases

SRINAGAR — Jammu and Kashmir reported 15 new covid-19 cases while there was no death due to the pathogen in the last 24 hours, officials said on Saturday.

They said that the ten of the cases were reported from Jammu, two each from Srinagar and Baramulla districts besides one from Reasi, taking the overall tally to 454191—166426 in Jammu and 287765 in Kashmir.

There was also no death due to the pathogen reported in the last 24 hours, they said. So far 4752 persons have succumbed to the virus—2328 in Jammu and 2424 in Kashmir.

Besides, they said, seven Covid-19 patients recovered during the last 24 hours and include four from Jammu division and three from Kashmir. So far 449384 people have recovered, leaving the active case tally at 55— 39 in Jammu and 16 in Kashmir.

The officials told GNS there was no new confirmed case of mucormycosis (black fungus) reported today. So far 51 black fungus cases have been confirmed in J&K, the officials said.

They also informed that 11056 doses of covid-19 vaccine were administered during the time in J&K. — (GNS)
