SRINAGAR (KIMS) — Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Sunday attended the Mahayajna Dharma Sammelan in Baramulla, describing the event as a symbol of selfless sacrifice, spiritual renewal, communal harmony and national unity.
In a statement, the Lieutenant Governor said that in the Sanatan tradition, a yajna represents selfless sacrifice and shared responsibility aimed at fostering global peace. He said the Sammelan marked a spiritual rebirth for the region and sent a powerful message of harmony and national unity from Baramulla to the rest of Jammu and Kashmir and the country.
Sinha said Baramulla had for centuries served as a gateway of culture, a confluence of ideas and a centre of spiritual knowledge. He added that the Mahayajna Dharma Sammelan was helping revive the region’s rich spiritual and cultural heritage.
He also said the event was breathing new life into the spiritual legacy of Jammu and Kashmir, where all faiths are respected, and reaffirming the region’s unique identity in the world. — (KIMS)
