SRINAGAR (KIMS) — Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Sunday addressed an Interfaith Dialogue for Harmony in Baramulla, where he praised the Save Youth Save Future Foundation for its contribution to the Union Territory’s drug-free campaign and highlighted Jammu and Kashmir’s rich legacy of communal harmony.
The Lieutenant Governor commended the foundation’s young volunteers for their selfless efforts in supporting the anti-drug campaign, saying they had taken on a significant responsibility for securing a better future for the region.
He said the campaign had strengthened trust within families and institutions, boosted the confidence of young people in their future, and sent a strong message across the country that societies can overcome major challenges when people unite with a shared purpose.
Highlighting Jammu and Kashmir’s tradition of peaceful coexistence, Sinha said the region has long been a symbol of harmony and brotherhood, where people of different faiths have lived with mutual respect and found spiritual peace.
He said this enduring legacy was shaped by saints, Sufis and Rishis, who for centuries taught the values of love, compassion and unity. — (KIMS)
