Mainly clear sky in J&K for next 24 hours: MeT

SRINAGAR — The Meteorological Department on Tuesday forecast mainly clear sky in Jammu and Kashmir for next 24 hours.

The weather was dry and clear in the Union Territory during last 24 hours.

An official of the Meteorological Department said, Dry weather with mainly clear sky is likely in J&K during the next 24 hours.

He said, Srinagar and Gulmarg recorded 4.7 degrees Celsius and 0.5 degrees Celsius while Pahalgam recorded minus 0.6 degrees Celsius as the minimum temperature in Kashmir region on Tuesday. 

In Jammu region, he said, Jammu recorded 14.7 degrees Celsius, Katra 13.0 degrees Celsius, Batote 7.3 degrees Celsius, Banihal 5.4 degrees Celsius and Bhaderwah 4.6 degrees Celsius as the minimum temperature.

In Ladakh region, he said, Drass recorded minus 7.0 degrees Celsius, Kargil minus 0.5 degrees Celsius and Leh minus 5.0 degrees Celsius as the minimum temperature. — (KIMS)
