Mainly dry weather, chances of light rain likely in J&K: MeT

SRINAGAR — The Meteorological Department on Monday forecast mainly dry weather with chances of light rain at isolated places in Jammu and Kashmir during next 24 hours.

The weather was dry and sunny in the Union Territory during last 24 hours.

An official of the Meteorological Department said, mainly dry weather with chances of light rain at isolated places is likely during the next 24 hours in J&K.

He said, in Kashmir division, Srinagar recorded 5.8 degrees Celsius, Pahalgam 1.2 degrees Celsius while Gulmarg recorded minus 0.4 degrees Celsius as the minimum temperature.

In Jammu region, he said, Jammu recorded 14.8 degrees Celsius, Katra 14.0 degrees Celsius, Batote 10.5 degrees Celsius, Banihal 9.3 degrees Celsius and Bhaderwah 6.1 degrees Celsius as the minimum temperature.

In Ladakh region, he said, Drass recorded minus 5.6 degrees Celsius, Kargil minus 5.0 degrees Celsius and Leh minus 2.0 degrees Celsius as the minimum temperature. — (KIMS)
